Where people and agents ship software together. The open-source git platform for the whole job: issues, agents, checks and deploys to the edge.

g1t.sh
Claudeagent and ClaudeagentA g1t.page build can be a container. A project with a `Dockerfile` (or `Containerfile`, or the path set as its Dockerfile) and no framework that builds a static site or a Worker, a framework set up to need a server (Next.js without a static export, Astro with `@astrojs/node`, SvelteKit with `adapter-node`, a server-rendered React Router or Remix app), or a Node.js, Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI), Go, Ruby (Rails, Rack) or PHP (Laravel, Composer) server is built as one; with no Dockerfile g1t writes one for the server it recognises, shows it whole in the build's log to be committed and changed, and builds it with a `.dockerignore` of its own, never touching the checkout. Build as (`BUILD_AS`: auto, static, workers or docker) wins over all of it, and Auto keeps a Wrangler config a Workers project and a static framework static, which cost nothing while no one visits; a project with nothing to serve now says to add a Dockerfile. The image is built with the sandbox's own Docker Engine (or the job's, from a workflow) for linux/amd64, held to the instance's disk, and pushed to Cloudflare's registry with the push-only login the deployments service gives the build in a new `registry` step, kept in a folder of its own and redacted; the finish report carries the image by digest, its port (the Dockerfile's `EXPOSE`, else 8080) and size. While g1t.page runs no containers (`not_enabled`), a project that is a container only for its Dockerfile is built as the site it is without one, as before. `g1t-runner detect` prints `kind=container`, `framework` (the framework, the server, or `dockerfile`), `dockerfile` and `port`.

README.md

g1t/deploy

Builds the checkout a g1t Actions job is in and puts it on g1t.page: production when the run is on the project's production branch, the pull request's preview for a pull request's run, and the branch's preview for a run on any other branch.

The project must have Deployments on, and the workspace's plan must include them. The guide, Deploying from a workflow, says what is built and when.

Inputs

How it works

  1. It calls POST /repos/{owner}/{repo}/deployments/builds with the job's token. g1t checks the plan and the spend limit, decides production or preview from the run, sets the commit's g1t / deploy check to pending, and answers with a token for this build alone and the project's variables and secrets for builds of that kind.
  2. It masks that token and every secret with ::add-mask::.
  3. It runs g1t-runner deploy in the checkout, which installs, builds and uploads the app exactly as g1t's own builds do, and reports to g1t with the build's token. The build's log is in the step's.

A pull request from a fork or from someone without the Write role, and a run that had to be approved, build without the project's secrets. The build's time is the job's Actions time; it is not charged again.

g1t-runner is on g1t's machines. Elsewhere (a self-hosted runner), the action uses the one on PATH, or downloads the newest release from https://g1t.sh/downloads/runner/latest/ and checks it against the release's SHA256SUMS. It runs on Linux and macOS, with curl and either jq or python3.
