Home's Summarize now marks g1t's answer read once it finishes with the card in view, through one shared hook (useReadWhenShown) the Ask panel uses too. Toasts, sounds and desktop notifications stay quiet for a conversation a page shows. Chat's read mark is markReadUpTo, tested against the migrations. Docs updated in the Ask, Home and Chat guides.
